1990 Mazda 323 sedan 1.6 16v autochoke issues
I need the help of someone who has a bit more experience with this type of carburetor than i do. I have an issue where the autochoke just doesn't seem to activate at all so starting the car when cold is a real pain in the butt having to hold the throttle at 1.4k rpm till it gets a hold of itself. The choke plate just stays vertical no matter of how cold the engine is. Pressing the throttle fully (which i assume should reset the choke plate since in every other car it does) just doesn't do anything. Though trying to hold the throttle open and flicking the plate closed does seem to work, it doesn't wanna go back then so the car just runs at 2k rpm regardless of being cold or warm. I checked if anything is sticking and no, all the parts move as smooth as on a brand new carb so im genuinely confused as to what could be the issue. I can't find any technical documents either for this carburetor so im at a loss. Does anyone have any ideas what i should check or try?
