hey all iam having trouble pushing the piston back in on a 1990 323 gtx just wondering if theres any special trick to getting it to go back in!? ive tried using a g clamp with no success. and it dosent appear to be the type that screws in. ive changed alot of pads on cars and never had this problem.

Well I don't know, but have you tried screwing it in?
That type of caliper has been around longer than I origianly thought. One shop I worked at, and this was in the '80's, we had a Saab 99 come in w/screw in pistons. We had never seen or heard of them before and were completely stumped what to do with them. We tried for days to get them to compress. Looking back now, it seems silly, but at the time it was a real BIG ?????
