1987 Mazda 323i. What ECUs will work for it?

1987 Mazda 323i. What ECUs will work for it?
I fried my ECU by putting on the battery backwards. I'm a rookie mechanic so give me a break 
. I was wondering if there was any other year or model that has an ECU that would also work for my year and model. Please help! Any advice will help.
