I thought I'd post a few pictures of the 1982 Mazda 626 I purchased in the fall of 1981. While serving at Eielson AFB in '80/'81, I was looking to buy my first car. I made comparisons by reading Motor Trend and going to dealerships in Fairbanks. I liked the business like styling of the four door 626 and the good magazine reviews it received. Before transferring down to the lower 48, I sent my dad money for a half down payment and he ordered the car from a local dealership. Maya Gold was the color I chose. I had the car for 13 years and never had a problem with the engine or transmission. The '82 model was at the height of minor appearance applications before Mazda redesigned the car.

The first three pictures were taken at the dealership before I departed Alaska. The last picture has the car waiting for me at my parent's house.

Hi! I know this is an old post but I really need some help, I've recently bought a 1982 626 coupe that´s been basically run with tap water on the cooling system and I really want to change that, only problem is, information about what kind of coolant is the correct one for the car is pretty much nonexistent, would really appreciate your help!
