Speaker replacement/possible stereo replacement
Hi, I am a novice here! (sorry)
I have just bought a 2013 CX-5. The car is in great shape and have no trouble with it.
One small issue is I'm a massive music nerd and really wanted a decent stereo. I had test driven a few mazdas and loved the bose stereos in them so was a tad unhappy when I connected my spotiffy up to this one to discover both front door speakers are blown.
As I was already thinking to upgrade the screen to include apple carplay etc...just a bit more modern (the 2013 stereo is good but just a tad basic) I am wondering, with the blown speakers, should I just replace the whole lot?
Obviously, that could be costly and right now, I'm thinking I could just replace the door speakers and possibly the rear speakers as they are not up to much.
Does anyone in here have knowledge of how to change the speakers in these bose system in the CX-5?
I'm of the understanding that they are component speakers in the front....possibly just two way? So do I have to replace both the door speaker and the dash corner speaker or does anyone make a speaker on it's own to simply replace the door speaker?
What size are they? I have seen differing things on youtube 8"/ 6.5" etc...I'm finding it all a bit confusing.
Also, I there a way of replacing the screen to include apple car play but keeping the same bose amp/speakers?
What sort of prices would I be looking at to buy and fit this stuff?
Any help would be greatly received
Cheers, Dan

1) Hi, how would I be capable of maintain my inventory head unit, and also have suitable sound after upgrading the audio system? 2) Or conversely, is it possible to achieve good sound by using upgrading the head unit, but maintaining the stock audio system? Thanks

The best way to upgrade you fact6ory sound system in your Mazda is to start installing sound deadening martial in the doors effects the sound quality more than anything. Install the best speaker you buy you will never get as good a quality from them without first reducing the road and environmental noises. After doing a few Mazda and other similar platforms it is easy to see many auto manufactures used the very least amount of road and sound reducing material for many models.
