somebody please help!

Hi,
I have recently bought a mazda ax3 sport and I need to get a new alternator.
Does anybody know where to find one from?
Is it the same as a mazda mx3?

An ax3? I am not familiar with that model.
What year? Do you have pictures of the car to post? Are you in the US, Canada, Europe or somewhere else?

Ax 3 looks like a mx3 but japanese import.
I am in the uk

Well then, I would check out the manufacterer (name) and any identifying numbers/info on your current alternator, then do a search. Surly Mazda, or any other manufacturer for that matter, uses the same unit on many different vehicles in a given time period.
It's likely that its nothing special. At worst, you may have to spin the case around to get the mount(s) in the correct position for your car. I wouldn't worry.
