GPS Navigation updatesI bought my mazda used and it came with Navigation SD card. The map is not up to date and I read that you get 3 years of free maps. I pulled the SD card out (Map is from 2016) and tried to up date using the Mazda Toolbox, however software said no updates available for this device even though there is 2018 Q4 map available. So, I bought a new SD card from ebay however, it also says no updates availalble for this device. I had to put SD card in vehicle before Mazda Toolbox could read it. So, it looks like the 3 years is tied to my vehicle not the SD card.

I emailed Mazda Toolbox support and they came with the following:

Hello Steve,

Thank you for reverting us at Mazda Handsfree Support.

No, buying of new SD card will not include 3 years map update you need to purchase a new maps subscription for it.

Anyone now how to get around this, or am I stuck buying the expensive subscription update from Mazda Toolbox?
