removing backseat on Mazada6 wagon
does anyone have a suggestion how I can remove the bottom part of our backseat so I can look for small (usually sticky and decomposing) items carefully deposited by my children into the seatbelt openings?
Thank you,

On the front bottom of the seat cushion areas where the cushion meets the carpet you will see four square plastic triim covers. The trim covers are actually over the carpet area and not bottom cushion. Pop these little trim covers off by pulling straight outwards. Underneath you will find a 10mm bolt. Remove these bolts (two for each side seat ), lift the front edge of the cushion and you will find that the bottom cushion will neatly hinge upward to allow easy access for removal of all sorts of lost treasures.
That is fantastic - I was almost ready to take a torch to the seats but yours is a much better solution. many cheerios and gummy bears were discovered lurking beneath.
Thank you!
Thank you!
