I have a 92 mazda b2200 with the 2.2 2bl carbeurated engine. I have been stumped on an issue for awhile now and would really like someones help. When im going down the road in third gear or higher (after the engine gets warm) itll start to hop and skip and cut out and it feels like it has a flat tire. If i let off the gas and push the clutch in it immediately dies. But it starts again with no issues but once i hit third gear it acts up again. I have replaced the distributor cap and rotor and put new plugs and wires on it and did an oil change and its still doing it. Im thinking it might be the egr valve. If so can someone tell me how to make or where to find an egr delete kit? It would be greatly appreciated

 

It sounds like the coil is going out to me. ($20 maybe) As far as the EGR, just pop the vacuum hose off of it and if it still acts up then it is not the EGR valve. The problem could be in the carb but a miss above 1500 rpm is unlikely to be carb related.
