2000 protege. pinch bolt got rounded off. used 6 point 14mm socket and the socket split and in the process, rounded off some of the bolt corners. got new socket and still cannot get bolt to turn. is the bolt threaded into the knuckle or is it just an internal slip fit and is just seized now? can i try and pound out the bolt and destroy it probably and than end up buying new bolt? so, is knuckle threaded internally? if it was not, you would think it would pound out without a ton of effort.
