i have a 1990 mazda 323. last wednesday my car started then die. i had to jump it to get it started but it runs like it has no power at low speed. then the next day i started the car and it started and died again. then try jumping it but this time it wont start. i replaced the fuel filter. then i checked for sparks at the plugsand no sparks. then checked at the distributor cap still no sparks. then i check the ignition coil with no sparks there either. so i ordered a new ignition coil and replaced it but the car still wont start. can someone please help me out.

 

Usually the ignitor in the distributor but check the rotor closely as they tended to burn a hole in them and short out.

 

do you have picture or diagram of the location.

I too would check the ignitor. If that checks out then trace back to the ECM. I don't know the 323 but it is an IC that could be located in the distributor. If not there then trace the wires back from the distributor and should be somewhere in the engine compartment. They are usually in accessible locations.

 

Have you fixed the problem?? I have the same thing happening to me rite now and it's starting to stress me out
