Default MX5 - Overheating HOT

Temp rises to max if over 60 mph and climbing steep hills - its curtailng the driving.

Have had new head gasket / new water pump / new radiator cap / radiator flushed

Please any other ideas - costing a small fortune

Cheers

new thermostat? If it's not ever opening enough, then you won't get enough hot coolant flowing away from the engine, and you won't get enough cooled off coolant from the radiator flowing into the engine's waterjackets.

You may have an air bubble in the system somewhere. That's usually why a cooling system overheats more at speed than idle.
