Default MX-5 Alarm fault

Hi everyone

I wondered if you could give me some advice please. My MX-5 alarm has been playing up in the cold weather, when I unlock the car the alarm goes off. I've noticed that when you turn the key in the lock to unlocked the car, the lights aren't flashing to indicate that the alarm has been disabled. When I open the door the alarm goes beserk, I have to unlock the car again and once in the car, I put the key in the ignition and it seems as though something in the door locking system, unlocks again.

I wondered if it was something to do with the cold weather we are having at the moment, or if I need to take it to a garage. Or I've just had some work done on the body work of the car and didn't know whether they may have dislodged something to make the alarm act in such a strange way.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

EBertie
