Well I noticed my front left tire was flat today..So I checked it with my pressure gauge and it was low (10-15). The maximum psi on my tires are 41 PSI and so I inflated it. Could there be like a small puncture in the tire or so? I'm gonna check it tomorrow to see what it is and if its going flat. Could it be that I've been goin over too many bumps and potholes and air has come out? what are the possibilities?

 

It sounds like you have a nail or something similar in your tire. It is very common to pick up debris like this on the road. Another possibility is a leaking valve stem. Go to a tire store and have it leak checked in a water bath.

 

well i think a nail would be noticeable? I don't know for sure, but i'm gonna check out the psi tomorrow morning. Any other suggestions?

 

Recommended tire pressure on your 6 is 32 psi as is listed on the sticker on front of the b-pillar in drivers door opening. The pressure listed on the tire is the maximum safe pressure that could be inflated to only. If you are continuing to see pressure drop then a spray bottle with soapy water is the best way to find a leak by yourself. Spray the tread area very liberally but also make sure you spray on the tire bead area. This is the sealing joint between the tire and wheel. Bubbles will show up most leaks.

 

Like he said either spray the tire with soap to see air bubbles, or take is somewhere (Merchant's, Discount Tire, etc.) I just had to replace two of my tires becasue of a construction staple jammed in between the tread on one tire. You couldn't really see it at all until the tire was off the car, and the two hole were too close together for them to patch it.

Incidentally Discount Tire checked it for free (obviously they'd charge for a patch) and gave me a loaner tire until my new tires came in the next day.
