I've been driving a Mercury Grand Marquis for years. I've done my own work on it for years.

What major differences should I expect maintenance-wise, going to a Mazda 6?

I have a ton of tools. Metric and SAE sockets, torque wrenches, hex keys and hex sockets, adapters, various power tools. I also work on my motorcycle.

I have an OBD II scanner that I use with the Merc. I'm guessing it will also work on say a 2010 Mazda 6, but would appreciate any tips on software or code references or anything else I should know maintenance-wise.

A specific Mazda 6 I'm considering is a 2010 with 115000 miles. I'm not sure which trim level it is, but it has the 4-cylinder engine.

What known issues could I expect at 115000 miles? Quirks of the 2010 model year?

I'd like something with less mileage, but anything with less than 100k seems to be always out of my price range.
