Hello everyone, I am new to this site and also making my switch from honda to mazda. I recently purchased a ford escort gt with a Mazda BPT turbo 1.8 litre from a familia AWD.
I had it for a few months and sadly got tboned and smashed the crap outta it. So My question is, what list of shells would this motor fit in. I heard rumers of hyandai accents all the way to a kia sportage. I know they will fit in a mx3 and ford escorts but there must be others. I also heard of mazda proteges, will it fit in any protege? I was looking at a 2002 protege but the motor was a two litre.
also I have used a escort gt tranny, is there anything better and easier to find then the escort gt..

that will fit in a protege, 323, escort, etc. if you can find a mazda or ford with either a 1.8 or 2.0, it will be a direct fit. you will need to keep your engine management though.
