Unhappy mazda mpv 2.0 diesel 2003

hi , im new to the forum and need some help please!!... we have a 2003 mazda mpv 2.0 diesel, when I purchased the car all was fine! next morning I went to start it and it kept cutting out maybe 2 or 3 times then it was ok although was holding back at the higher rev range.. anyway I though I would change the fuel filter ,which I did took it for a drive and it felt great , pulled hard no smoke etc etc , I thought bingo its sorted!! .. I tried starting it throughout the day with no faults!!.....next morning it refused to start so did a bit of homework and put it on the diagnostics and found it had low fuel pressure and was advised to replace the scv (suction control valve) as this was a common fault with this engine.. I replaced it with an 066 instead of the 006 as I was told this is the upgraded version. fair enough it started but would not idle or rev above 3000rpm , I was told it would not need to be mated to the pump and It was (plug and play) ..I then put it back on the diagnostics to find it still has low fuel pressure??? .... I had then been advised that maybe the delivery pump maybe faulty , so today I have replaced it ,all numbers matching off of a perfect running car! guess what? still the same!! if anyone can shed any light????? please help as im finding it harder each day not to chuck a gallon of 4 star over it and light it up!! lol many thanks
