Default Mazda 3 keyless entry programming-no luck

I've been trying to program keyless entry on my 05 Mazda 3 with no success. I can get the car into programming mode but I can't get any of the remotes to respond to it at all. I've bought several remotes and have swapped out the keyless entry module a few times with no success. I also took it to a locksmith and he was unable to program a brand new remote either.....Has anyone had issues like this? I don't know what else to do except take it to the local mazda mechanic. I've made sure the all the locks work when it does the sequence in programming mode. I also double checked the trunk and hood and they are both shut even though my hood latch does not have any type of sensor or cable on it. I noticed the in the trunk lid there is a plug going to the latch, not sure if that has anything to do with telling whether or not that's open(never have seen any trunk lights on the dash). And last I checked the PJB and made sure all the connectors are snug in there. I've pretty much looked at every website and really haven't found anyone having similar issues.

Your getting the lock/unlock 2 time verification from the doors when in program mode? if so, hit lock button on remote 2 times, should get a lock and unlock cycle from car to verify it took. Still no luck?

After opening the door for the last time it locks and unlocks once, then once I close the door after no success then it locks and unlocks twice. Also I've noticed if I turn the key from "on to lock" 4 times instead of 3, my horn beeps a few times and the lights flash. I swear I don't have any luck with this car lol and it's usually just dumb little things lol

Let's begin from scratch grasshopper....

1 Drivers door open, key out. 2. Insert key, cycle key from off to on 3 times ending up n off position. 3. Close and open drivers door 3 times ending up with drivers door open. At this time, door lock should cycle lock/unlock twice by themselves to confirm entered program mode. 4. Push the unlock button twice on remote. Locks should cycle once from lock to unlock. Press the unlock button twice on any other remotes you wish to program at this time. Locks should cycle for each remote that successfully programs. 5. Remove key from ignition when finished. Locks will cycle twice when leaving program mode.

Hopefully I fixed the link. Doing this from my iPhone. Sorry if I'm being a pain lol. I'm not sure if I did the procedure fast enough but I've been messing with this since 2014 with no luck.

Battery fairly new? Battery is a 3volt. 3.2volts out of the package, 2.8volts they quit.

Last thing that came to mind, make sure your dome light is set to go on when door open. That's the way Body Control Module will see the door open and close.
