Default Massive oil leak...PLEASE HELP

2006 Mazda 3

This morning I swirved to miss an accident and ended up driving over a median. I drove my car about 5 miles home and everything seemed fine. I was inside for about 3 hours and came out to find a HUGE oil puddle. I have figured out the location of the leak, but have no really no knowledge of cars. Can someone please help me out?! I have attached photos. I also called the mechanic and they can't get me in until Monday, which is fine, but I would like to have some idea what is wrong.

I'm thinking your best bet would be to call your insurance company and file a claim; something like shouldn't impact your rate at all. Assuming you do, they should be able to arrange to have your car towed to a repair facility and get you set up with a rental car in pretty short order.

It's hard to see exactly, but that looks like a cracked oil pan to me. They are aluminum and will crack rather than bend under such circumstances.

Don't drive the car, of course, until you get it fixed.
