LED Conversion - from GT/HID Housing
Hey all,
I have a 2014 CX-5 GT; the OEM HID lights are not as bright as my last vehicle and I want to do a full conversion to LED: High beam, low beam, and fog lights.
I have two options, buy a new housing from ebay for ~$600 shipped and sell my OEM HID Housing (open to offers); or, buy bulbs.
Right now - I'm looking at buying bulbs; my question for everyone is - should I? I spoke with dealership and they said these HID housing are around $900 a pop; I'm a little apprehensive about switching anything up, and/or risk heat burns on something with that high of a price tag. Also, are the light bulb sizes in these housing a true-fit, or do they require an aftermarket adapter?
- Low beam = D4S
- High beam = P4W (forget exact #)
Recommendations on best products to use? I might buy these:
Do I also need an aftermarket dust cover?
Thanks
