I need some help. I have got a 58 plate mazda 5 estate , and driving over any slightly uneven road is like driving in Basra. So far I have replaced both drop links, both shockers and springs , ball joints and all other mounts are solid. I have had two large lads on the front cross member jumping the car up and down and nothing, no noise at all . I went away last week camping and i thought sod it , if it goes bang , tough. Put the heavy trailer on the back and went all the way to cornwall , not a peep out of it. Took trailer off and bang bang bang. I have had all the back end checked but it is solid. , The fitter I use is top notch and he is stumped. its too good a car to get rid of, spotless inside and out . Come on guys , give me a pointer. I know this sounds daft but the only thing I can make out it sounds like is years ago I had a triumph spitfire and one of the gear box rubbers in the tunnel had come off, go around a corner and this knock knock knock would be heard and felt. the mazda has a similar noise , as if its under the gear stick , its not., Its not the exhaust either.
