I have a 2006 Mazda 5. My 8 year old managed to destroy the driver side hatch strut (shock). I am having no luck finding a replacement other than through a Mazda dealer at about $100. Any suggestions for where to look?? Thanks.

 

Yes. Take the damaged one to your local parts store, or at least take measurements of it with you. They usually have universal replacement strut there and can hook you up for under $30.
