What kind of code number do you have stored palunga? Have seen the CEL come on if the key was left on while refueling and setting a fuel sender range/performance code (forget the number). Basically the PCM was programmed to recognize fuel level dropping as car is driven but cannot "comprehend" why level would be going up so sets a code. Leaving fuel cap loose can also set an Evap leak code. Really kind of need the code number to be able to tell you anymore.

Codes need to be retrieved from the engine computer by using an OBDII compatible scan tool. These scan tools can be purchased at most parts stores. Many parts stores offer a free service of doing this for you. Autozone is one. Check with any local ones to see if they do offer this service. The code will be in a format of the letter P followed by four numerical digits ie P0455.
