Default Engines and transmissions

I am looking to drop a new engine and transmission into my 2004 Mazda iSedan. I wanted to know if anyone could give me some advice as to the type of motor and transmission combination that would work the best for my car.

Thanks

How about a blown 350 Chevy or a Hemi or something?

i would just stay with stock. you are looking at a lot of headache swapping a different motor into it. the easiest would be to find a totaled out ms3 and pull the engine, wiring harness, ecu, and tranny, but that is still a lot of hassle.

Default 98 Protege LX

I have a 98 Mazda Protege LX, and i want to order a whole new engine but I want it to have some speed, which engine will fit good in there. Also, i want it turbo charged. Whats the best engine for this conversion?

you can either buy a stock FS-DE motor (2.0L) and turbo it or buy a mazdaspeed protege motor. either way, it is all the same.
