i am new here i just bought my first car and its a mx3 gs i love it but i think it needs a kick more power i was wondering if the ecu from a mx6 v6 is a direct swap for the k8 ecu like are the plugs the same or totaly different .. i dont like messing with wiring and the car will be gettiing a klze soon

 

I would not think you would gain anything with the swap if it did. But i doubt it is compatable. I have swapped out ECU's and gotten power gains simply because the cars were different in that one was a manual trans car and the other an automatic. Heavier cars/auto trans cars require more fuel so they got a power gain from the swap by virtue of it being an auto trans. Without plugging it in i could not say without researching it with a wiring diagram. Even then i do not have access to the internals of the 2 ECU's so plugging it in is the easiest way to determine that.
