Default cleaning graffiti off my wheel/tire

some punk tagged my mazda3 (i.e. graffiti) - the weirdo tagged mostly my tire, and a little bit of my wheel. The manual notes that the aluminum wheels have some special coating to protect them and keep them looking nice.

Any recommendations for how I should remove this graffiti from my tire and wheel? Should I just get out the paint thinner, or might that damage the tire or wheel or wheel coating?

called the mazda dealer. They recommended rubbing alcohol; and if that doesn't work, mineral spirits.
Before I even managed to get to the rubbing alcohol, I discovered that the paint came off pretty easily without any solvent at all - just using my fingernail through a paper towel or cloth.
