PROBLEM(s)
* After fuleing the car, it will start turn over and then stall out. I will turn the key again however and push on
the accelorator feed some gas and things will be fine as long as I keep moving. This problem only occurs after fueling and the few moments there after. While at a stop and running, it tends to rumble a little, but not every time. Recently the CEL came on. A friend checked the codes for me and this is what I got:
-P0455
EVAP Emission Control System Leak (Large)
-P2187
System too lean at idle speed (Bank 1)
-P2402
EVAP System Lk detect pump Sens CKT Intermittent
QUESTION
I did some research and it appears that I could have a problem with the evap purge solenoid. If that is the case what do I need to do fix the problem? Can I fix it myself? What will the cost be?
Thank you
I hae a similar problem with my Tribute. The solenoid is real easy to replace, it just clips out of the top of the purge canister.
The only problem with me is the cost, £100 from a main dealer, ridiculous for what it is.
I'm holding off until I can get one from my local breakers yard.
I was having the exact same problem but undid this hose and it's been running fine since. I plan to replace the whole thing when I can but for the moment, this is working
Mine stalled after fueling and randomly at idle with the brake and also had an annoying surge sound before hand and as I stated, removing this hose from the solenoid has been a temp fix. So...... 🤷🏼♀️

Time will tell but you are missing the key evidence or supportive indicators that that was the issue?
Unless somehow you have a MAZDA that is older than 1995?
I have the same purge valve as that pictured in this thread. It was easy to remove the upper hose that comes from the charcoal canister, but I couldn't get either of the 2 lower hoses to release. I don't want to apply so much pressure (e.g., with pliers) that it results in breaking the plastic retainers. Can anyone provide advice on getting these 2 identical retainers to release?
I have some issues as well almost similar but to me the cel doesn't show up...when the engine warm up like water is 90 degrees the rpm are 600 and engine shakes like something struggle it and I can see that as the seat belts are shaking as well ...but no fluctuations no stalls no lack of power just 600 rpm shakes and sometime you feel the engine

I would suggest having a Diagnostic scanner connected to your OBDII connector and look at a few engine monitors? I would also scan the 3 basic areas of the ECU. You should find something based on this response of yours.
BTW the engine may not have reached closed loop operations yet. The normal safe engine operation is @ 129.9 F when your coolant light @130F shuts off.
