Hi I have a 95 Mazda protégé that has 252000. It ran great and had plenty of power so I loaned it to my daughter in law to take to her brother funeral about 200 miles away. When they got ready to come home they were sitting at a stop sign and it just quit. They could not get it started again. They also could not hear the fuel pump so put a really cheap fuel pump on it. That did not work, so I trailered to my mechanic who said it wasn't getting any spark so change distributor and then he said it was getting too much fuel. I would turn over but not really fire. He found if he unplugged 1 injector it would try and if he unplugged 3 it would almost start. He checked timing and said it was ok. Anybody else have this happen and how did you fix it? I really love this car and need this car right now as my 97 Mazda need way more work than it is worth to me (2 wheel bearing and 1 strut and 1strut holder)
