Default a/c problem

Okay I work at honda as a tech and i do not think this is right let me know if this is normal on a 07 mazda 3, the a/c never gets cold when it is hot out if it is over 85 u might as well roll down the windows because it gets cooler doing it that way. i went to the dealer ship to have it looked at and while i was there they put a thermometer in the center vent it was cooling (lol) to 60 degress. Now i work for honda and if the center vent is over 45 there is a problem. the dealership told me that was normal, I told them bull **** and we ended up getting into a argument over it. The guy told me " well it is a small a/c system only holding around 1.2 pounds of freon" well civics only hold .55kg max and they never get warm like that they get cold around 40-45 on a 90 degree day. So my question is does anyone else have this problem with there 3. Becasue if not i am really going to go in there a pitch a bitch.
Thanks

Forbidden, I do not have this info about M3 but do have it for M6 and quote an extract from M6 workshop manual. Hopefully it would be of some help.

was wondering if u have a link to pressure specs, hondas run around 20-35 on the low side and 150-200 on high side mine are running around 40-45 lowside and 220-250 on high side seems high to me like over charged, evacuated and recharged w/ proper amount and it is a little better but not much.

my Five is dreadfully warm. I live in vegas and today the ambient temp was 117. Inside the car when I started it up was well over 130. After a half hour ride home, the air in the cabin is just starting to approach tolerable...this A/C system SUCKS. I remember my mom's 82 Celica used to blow (LITERALLY) snow out of the vents on a humid day. This thing would be lucky to keep cool in Pennsylvania, much less down here in the southwest. Thanks for the link. I downloaded the entire mazda 5 shop manual last nite and will look for the AC specs in there and measure myself. I also think the 5's A/C system is horribly inadequate for the size of the vehicle. there should be more air vents in the back, and a stronger blower motor IMHO.

i work in an area that's about 110 degree F right now... HOTT as hell for me because i used to live in sf.. anyway i noticed that when it's hot my A/C at lvl 2 it doesn't do jack ****. i still sweat in my car.. but as i was driving home (temp change to cooler) then i noticed the A/C get Cooler. i think mazda's A/C compressor prolly suck.. cuz i post this elsewhere in this forum, compare this A/C with my mom's SCRAPER, hers blows freakin cold.... got damn it!

phiz.. i don't have any issues with my a/c nor fan just the fact that i was complaining because it's not strong enough (doesn't blow cold) in this heat... well what years is urs? u need to take it back to the dealer if ur still under warranty!

Ok, thanks for getting back to me so quickly anyways...mine is a 2004 and it's an aftermarket warranty so I hope they'll fix it...I just kinda wanted to go on here and see if anyone had the same issues so I could do it myself...

yeah mine is under factory waranty and the dealership here sucks ***, they just do not want to help at all. I fixed my problem myself it was overcharged, the pressures are in spec now, and it is a little cooler deff better though. It just pisses me off that they saw 60 coming from the center vent and said it was normal. I should send them my bill (lol)
