Question Bluetooth connection issues

Searched and couldn't find this posted yet.

I just got a Galaxy S6 to go along with my 2015 Mazda6. The head unit recognizes my phone and connects, but only for a minute before it disconnects, then reconnects, then disconnects, and so on. This cycle happens constantly as long as my phone's Bluetooth is on. I have tried deleting and repairing on both my phone and car, restarting my phone, boot phone in safe mode, etc.

The only thing I can think of is the Bluetooth software needs to be updated in the head unit to support the new phone. Does anyone know if that is the case and if so is it on the horizon? Or is there a different solution?

Thanks!

You need to confirm if your phone is on Mazda's compatibility list.

You're right sorry I forgot to mention that I checked that. I guess because the phone is so new, it is not on the compatible list. However, each previous version of the Galaxy phone is. Do you know how long it usually takes Mazda to update their system for new phones?

I have the same phone and the same issue. I rent cars frequently and don't have this problem with any others. Hope they fix this soon. I have completely unpaired my phone since it is useless in its current state.
