Took my 2004 Mazda 6 to a shop because there was a hose that goes into the air box and was getting a lean code. He told me that I would have to pay $300 to have the entire box replaced because the hose that goes into the box was broke. Does anyone know anything about this? The hose looks like it fits into the box and the box has a tiny red looking straw that sticks out of the box. I found the air cleaner/box for about 1/2 the price online but have been unsucessful in finding a good picture of the box. I need to see if mines is broke and can I get away with just replacing that small 4" hose.
