Hi everyone-
I need some help here. I'm replacing my starter on a 2009 Mazda 5. I've run into a problem I can't seem to solve. The small white clip that attached to the tab on the starter near the main positive cable attachment nut...well, It's more clever than I am. While trying everything I know how to remove it, I broke the tab off of the old starter trying to get it off. that's fine, don't need the old starter. I do need the tab that I broke off OUT of the clip though, and I CANNOT FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET IT OUT.
I included pics of the clip, with the tab broken inside it. as you can see, there is a plastic tab that pops up, and I thought that would do it, but alas...
Any help here would be greatly appreciated. this is my daily drive, I gotta get to work.
