I have purchased a 2002 Mazda Protege 5 in Feb 2008. Since I bought it at least four times it has not started not long after just driving it. It would almost turn over, but just wouldn't make it. The 1st time it happened I took it back to the dealership, and they kept doing tests on it for 3 days. They said nothing was wrong with it. Everytime it has happened after that we have waited a half hour or so and tried it again, and it starts up no problem. When this happenes we can still use eveyrthing in the car, the lights, radio etc. Is this a common problem?What could be done to fix the problem?

We just got the car right now after trying to start it for 4 hours, got it on a tow truck then as soon as it was taken off the tow truck at home it starts. Please help

 

Not at all from what I know about it, Stephanie. Proto's are notoriously reliable.
