I got a CSF 865 to replace the cracked radiator in my truck. The auto transmission posts on the original accept a 3/8" ID hose while the new one has about a 5/16" ID hose. Is this a common problem? Several online radiator dealers have suggested this unit as replacement. I tried the existing hose, but it seems like it never gets snug enough. I haave not installed the unit in the truck yet. I think I need an OEM and not an Aftermarket. Has anyone had this problem? Thanks

 

Even if you made the cooler hoses fit on a smaller fitting by really clamping it down, you still run a risk of not getting adequate flow to the trans. This can cause premature failure or the trans overheating.
