Hello, so my Mazda 6 doesn't seem to know its on park, I try to start it when in park, the "P" doesn't get highlighted and it only starts when I put it in neutral. When I'm ready to leave my car I put it on park and have to use the E-break every time because sometimes it doesn't lock my brakes and beings to roll away. Reverse is also kind of touchy, I have to keep my hand on the gear shift to make sure it stays in reverse because at times the "R" doesn't stay highlighted and stops. Does anyone know whats going on with my car and how much it might be to fix this? Thanks

 

Well, i'd say the linkage needs adjusted.
