headlight fail

Default headlight fail

newbie here.. how would the low beam headlights on a 1999 Mazda fail?..dont have enough idea for this..i want to repair it myself..

I had that problem once. I found out that lights fail due to a faulty switches on the steering wheel console. So i pull it apart and clean up the contacts. good luck..

Could also be a bad connection to/at the relay or a bad relay too. Sometimes the internal contacts of a relay get dirty or burned and fail. I would check for power there first. If you have power but no lights you know it's the relay. If not, probably the switch assembly.

headlidgt is easy to replace, open hood turn app 1/4 way pops right out . when installing new bulb first wipe with rubbing alcohol when installing don't touch with fingers use gloves (oil in hande causes failure.
