Default Protecting Rubber Door Seals

Wanted to get some opinions on protecting the rubber door seals on my 2003 Protege. I usually clean them with a rag moistened with a weak solution of water and rubbing alcohol and then apply Armor All once they are dry. This seems to work quite well. I recently read that silicone spray works well for this purpose and am considering using that instead of the Armor All.

Over the years, I've heard a lot of bad things about Armor All, but I haven't seen test data that demonstrates that it isn't a good protectant of rubber and vinyl. I often wonder whether these negative opinions might be nothing more than rumors spread by the manufacturers of competitive products.

Silcone spray is easy and works the best to keep them pliable and from sticking to metalin cold weather.
That's what I would recommend.

And I have had personal bad experiences w/Amour-all and do/have not recommended it for many years now... But I do like their gel-tire dressing.
