Speed3 fuel mileage?

Speed3 fuel mileage?
I am curious what kind of fuel mileage all of you Speed3 drivers are seeing. I am sure it is significantly less than the advertised 28mpg hiway if you step into the turbo much, but it would be interesting to see what you are averaging best case and worst case.

RE: Speed3 fuel mileage?
I've now been through 5 tanks of premium fuel, and turned in an average of 25.8MPG. 50% Interstate (60 to 80MPH), and the rest stoplight to stoplight city driving. Oh, and it includes several short trips with *good* friends given the privilege to see what it will do -- yes, I let them drive it. I baby a cold engine, but I do enjoy plenty of cut'n thrust when it's warmed up.
I think 28 to 29 MPG in sensible highway driving is entirely possible. I'll let you what I find this Thanksgiving weekend after the trip to Charleston SC.
BTW, this car is WAY too much fun. If I did not have so many responsibilities, I would take a month off and just drive, drive, drive.......

RE: Speed3 fuel mileage?
ok, I've filled up twice on this trip. The first came in at 25.5mpg under 300 miles of fairly hard interstate driving, solid 85 MPH most of the way. The second made 27.5 with me trying to keep my foot out of it and run around 75. With some fudge factor, 28 or 29 mpg should be very easy if you are somewhere you can run 60 or 65MPH steadily.

RE: Speed3 fuel mileage?
If anyone is still interested, I'm still seeing 25.5 to 26 MPG in mostly interstate driving. It's beginning to look like I won't see the 28 to 29 MPG on the interstate that I thought should be possible in gentle driving. Part of the problem is that gentle driving is requires more dicsipline than I have. I think I accelerate faster than I used to because it's easier, and this car uses a lot of fuel when you hammer it.
We'll see how it looks in a few thousand miles when it's fully broken in. Last car did about 2 or 3 MPG better after 5000 miles. I sit at about 4100 now.

RE: Speed3 fuel mileage?
I'm averaging 21.2 according to trip computer. Only did it myself once and it matched. I'll do it myself more to see how accurate that is, maybe the trip comp is averaging the reading every two seconds? But it is strange I'm get so much less than you guys. I'm about 90% city and 10% highway but i also in addition have a 4 mile stint on the highway on the way to work, so i bet that's hurting me. I also baby it when cold, i am scared to death of harming the turbo, but baby when that thing is warm woowee look out.
