Exclamation 1987 B2200 Gas Guage!! Not the sending unit

Does anyone have a diagram for the dash cluster ,gas guage not working I have never seen it off Empty put a new sending unit on and still dont work check the resistance on old unit and it is fine. connections are good as well, and has a voltage at plug as well witch moves with the float as it goes up and down. Has anyone ever just has a bad guage?

It is possible, I had my printed circuit on my old mustang burn through once, that was a PITA to fix. Any other issues with the instrument cluster? Pop it out, check the connections and the printed circuit for damage, if no damage check the resistance at the connector for the fuel gauge to see if there is a complete connection from the dash back.

it might not be the sending unit. Check to see if the wire from the float is actually touching, they tend to bend, and lift off the board, and no longer make a connection..

Hell I never drive by anything other then mileage anyways... gas gauges are misleading..
