All you need to do is loosen the two hose clamps & remove the large rubber hose between the air-box & throttle body. By a can of throttle body cleaner ( not brake clean & not carby cleaner). Spray it onto a rag and push open the butterfly and wipe all the surfaces clean.
Easy peasy.

Can’t find throttle bolt or hose
I have a 2012 cx9 and have watched numerous videos and looked at multiple photos and drawings, I cannot find the hose or a throttle body. Where is is?
I have spent over 30 hours researchering this stupid piece of equipment.

The throttle body is a metal piece connected to that intake air hose. The butterfly flap inside the throttle body is the actual throttle. Following Grim's instructions, be sure you use a lint-free cloth. Leave no lint nor loose bits of dirt inside the throttle body. Just squirting the cleaner in won't do much, and may do harm by loosening bit of the crud. Wipe it clean.
I guess in a car with keyless ignition, one would have to pull a fuse for the injection pump or someother way disable the car starting, then turn on the ignition and have the helper press down the accelerator pedal to open the throttle plate for cleaning.
