News on the 2016 CX-5 Release Date???

My friend, who has purchased Mazda's in the past, received a mailer yesterday from Masda USA, called the Mazda Winning Trifecta. In it they offer a $25 gift card if you do a test drive. And they say to come by and test drive the 2016 CX-5, 2016 Mazda6 and the 2015 Mazda3.
So I called up my local Mazda dealer and said I have the mailer and want to come down to drive a 2016 CX-5. He didn't know anything about the mailer and there are no CX-6's on the lot and has no idea when they will be coming.
Great coordination between Mazda and their dealers. And also a wasted marketing effort if there is no car yet.

Well the good thing about a re-design in 2017 is that there should be steep discounts for the '16 year model but obviously we won't see these incentives for probably upwards of 8 months to a year. I am speaking out of speculation only and what I think would make sense. I have no inside knowledge, I've just been following since I read about the 2016 model back in November/December. If I had to guess I would speculate that all or most dealers should have 2016 models on the lot come late March seeing as how they have already hit U.S. soil.
I read another more active forum where people have already received quotes and talk about getting the car within the next two weeks.
Anyone else have other insight out there?

I just contacted Dublin Mazda in Dublin, CA by email and the General Manager wrote me back saying that yes, the 2016 CX-5's are in stock, ready to buy. I'm not sure if he meant all of the 26 I see listed are in stock or just one or more, but there is definitely at least one in stock. Maybe 26. They have "Coming Soon" for the photos, but I think those just mean the photos are coming soon. That dealership is too far for me to drive to just to check one out, so I'll be waiting for some to show up in my area.
Update: Now for the first time I see three of the at my local dealership on their website and they weren't there a day or two.

We are planning to pick up our 2015 on Monday. The dealer we are not using called
Me and told me he had a 2016 he'd sell me right now. The new ones have an electric E brake which I hate so we are going with the 15.

I think now is definitely a great time to get excellent deals on the 2015 year model. The electric parking break is neither here nor there IMO but I have to say the new infotainment system does it for me. I also like the new grille and fog lights much more than that dated honey comb look. With the things I've heard about the old infotainment system I figure it wouldn't be worth settling for the 2015 model. In retrospect I guess you could change any of these things with after market products with exception to the commander control.

The new CX5 with the new grill & electric park brake is called the new 2015 model in New Zealand & Australia. We don't have the hype of releasing cars as a next years model. Does the US spec have sports mode switch for the auto trans? ( not the normal sports shift/tiptronic)
