1990 626 DX - Turn Signals don't work, hazards functioning correctly
Recently after my mazda had sat for about 1 week the turn signals stopped working completely, both left and right. The strange part of this problem is the hazards (4-ways) are functioning correctly. If I turn the turn signals on I get nothing, no light on the dash, no click, no turn signal. However, if I turn the hazards on, I get lights on the dash, a clicker, and all 4 lights on the exterior of the car function as expected. Is this likly the turn signal flasher, or is it more likly to be the Combinational switch in the steering column.
As a side note, on the same stick, the head lights stopped working on normal, low beam setting. Both the bright high beam and the fog lights remain uneffected. Idea's, Comments, Similar problems?
Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

It sounds like your combination switch might be bad. The turn signals and 4 way flashers are usually on a separate circuit.
On older cars one way to tell the turn signal switch was going bad was to check the brake lights, and if one was out usually on the right side the turn signal switch was bad.
Did they work fine before? Check your flasher unit to see if it's burned out. Most cars had a separate flasher, but I'm not sure on the Mazda's.
Did you check the fuses? Also check the bulbs and see if any of them are corroded. I'm not sure if that would cause the turn signals to stop working.
Check everything over, and keep us posted.
