Will these tires rub?
I have a 2001 Mazda Protege ES 2.0 with stock 195/55/R15 tires on it. I am wanting to get new rims and tires for it. I was going to get a new set of 15" rims with 195/55/R15 tires but thought that it would look better if I got 16" rims with 205/45/R16 tires on it. Will these wider tires fit in the well properly? Are there any other problems that I should worry about with these wider wheels?
P.S. Sorry, this is my first car so I'm pretty new to this kind of stuff.
Thanks!

if your shocks are soft they may rub..
but if i were you id feel safe upgrading.. 16's with lower pro tires shouldnt be an issue..
double check w/a dealer they know for sure have your vin#..
my stocks are 215.45.18 i <3 ..
but i got i think 225 55r17 and they rubbed, my winters. in the rear. maked me sad :*(. also the tread was new an thick, but that was what a tire shop did, the dealer didnt recommend that size. now i gotta get touch up paint and seal that up so it doesnt rust..
thats why i say ask a dealer..

The new tire/wheel actually will be shorter (73.09" vs. 73.65" circumference,) though wider than the old (8.07" vs. 7.68").
@ an indicated speed of 65mph you will only be going 64.5mph.
The section width is only 10mm wider, or a little over 1/3". 25.4mm = 1". 10mm = 0.3937".
I wouldn't worry about it. You shouldn't have any problems imo.
