Great googly moogly
Rust Problem[sm=icon_quiet.gif] How would a body shop handle rust under the windshield gasket? Bondo, weld, or what? The rust has eaten through the metal and it is in the bend in the metal. I plan on fixing it myself by bondoing (my first time). I was told that Bondo is good for a temp fix, but I don't know what a good perm fix would be for this location on the vehicle.

bondo or a temp fix, weld in new metal, shape, sand, buff, prime, paint for a final fix. if you have a dash cover then just shape and weld in.

Don't waste your time with bondo, especially in a seal area.
Clean, cut, weld, grind, prime and paint. If you need a cross section formed, you can try taking the sheetmetal you are using as base material to a AC duct shop and they can usually bend the shape you need (bring in a section.) |
