Dry cleaning my new MX-5

Hi.... (Bear with me - I just bought my first new car.) So, I'm going to ask a really naive question: anyone have an opinon on when is it ok to clean your car exterior with a dry cloth instead of washing it? I have a fine dusting of pollen on an otherwise-immaculate exterior.

Thanks!

Elizabeth

i've never had a problem using a cali car duster. you can get one for 10-15 bucks at any car store or walmart. Worth their weight in gold. I still have my wooden handled one from about 15 years ago, and never changed the head. it cleans like nothing else, and I've never had scratched paint from sand and dirt dust when using it.

you can also use a microfiber cloth in cleaning.. there are lots of them available in the market... I always want my car clean and away from dirt, so I recently replaced my mazda bug shield with a new one. This is to keep my car protected from harmful elements... anyways, just remember not to use anything that might scracth or damage your car exterior.. it would be best to look at the manual for more info regarding exterior cleaning.. good luck
