So for many many years trying all kinds of brands and options i finally narrowed down the moist ideal combo of tire for my winter and summer driving.

For an all season its the Vredestein QUATRAC 5, they were awesome on my old Acura TL.

But for my Mazda 3 i decided to have the perfect match up for summer and winter. By running a smaller dedicated winter tire it allowed me to buy a higher performance summer tire that may not last as long as a performance all season but preform much much better.

For summer i went for the Michelin Pilot Super Sports for my stock 18" rims, slightly over sized (225/40/1. Awesome on wet and make the car stick like glue. Just such a great tire, just wish they lasted longer.

For winter i went with the Vredestein SNOWTRAC 5 on a 16" steel rim. By for the best snow tire i have ever had. Blew away the Blizzaks, Continentals and Nokians i tried IMO.
