Hi all,

Have just discovered my Mazda makes this screeching sound when I reverse (see audio in video). It happens occasionally.

It is a manual and only 2017 manufactured with 20,000 miles.

It sometimes happens also when going forward and the car slows down.

What is the fault?

While switching, there is a high pitch sound from our 2009 mazda 2 which is a programmed. Somewhat seems like metal shrieking. Its something Ive just saw today, however it might have forever been there as there could be no other awful side effects while turning around. The stopping brake is totally off and my foot isnt on the brake pedal when the sound is perceptible. I dont even need to apply the choke, assuming that the vehicle is turning around without me applying the choke the sound is evident. At the point when the vehicle is in R and not moving with my foot on the brake, there is no strong. I figure it very well might be from the back however Im not certain. Ive actually look at the ATF and its at typical levels and pink. The vehicle has done around 60,000km. The vehicle was in a mishap right off the bat in its life and Im almost certain they supplanted the radiator - so I would accept they needed to top up with new ATF when the put the new on in - uncertain what brand. any thoughts?
