So you have never built a differential with complete new part then by this responses. And likely drive the first several thousand miles on a new assembled engine with new parts until the exact recommended service recommendation. Ans , oh this as BIG one actually believe the printed information from auto manufactures that some production automatic transmission are lifetime no service, or new service schedule listed?

OK then .... LOL

Maybe you are better at what you were educated (I hope) trained and then later experienced based on time working the trade in your chosen line of working professional career?

Here you help us all out why not read and then post a response in this thread provided below??

I am retired from the transportation/logistics industry - more than thirty years in total with two companies. Fourteen of it was being an owner-operator. I also worked as a deputy sheriff (I chose the wrong agency, so I didn't stay very long), spent a year in sales (hated it) and even did a short stint as a telemarketer back in 1989.(hated that even more). During high school and college, I delivered newspapers, moved furniture, was employed in two different grocery stores, a restaurant and even in the university dining hall. I even did a few years in the Army Reserve on my way to finally graduating from the school of hard knocks.

I have owned several vehicles - some that were new, some that were used and a handful of them that were abused. I've always been pretty good about taking care of things and very few of the cars I owned every failed on me. I never had a lubrication issue - knock on wood - and am a believer in using synthetic motor oil. The only issue that ever came my way with a differential was on a 1964 Cadillac with a bad pinion seal. An honest mechanic fixed it very cheaply when I was a starving student.

I am old, so I have a long history. Life is often about trial and error. Unfortunately, it comes down to a little bit of trial and a whole lot of error. LOL!!

Oh what do you consider OLD? Yes I am asking

I always felt in life if you are trained or educated reduces the trial and error aspect of acquiring learning by trial and error. Now Rock Climbing, Flying a plane (manually) being one of the first to fly ultralights , being married and a few other things now that is by trail and error? lol

I am on the cusp of turning sixty. My wife turned 60 in December, so we're bordering on being senior citizens. Haha!!

Given the average short life expectancy of men in my family, I guess I am doing okay. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Well, my wife was 40 back twenty years ago. Haha!!

Kudos to your dad! To make it to 93 is a blessing. My dad died in 1999 when he was only sixty. That was the same week my son (now 26 with a son of his own) learned to walk.

Time indeed does fly, huh?.
