Mazda MX5
Hi ; I’m Looking to buy a Mazda MX5 as a surprise for a family member but on checking the latest MOT I see these points have been bought up. I haven’t got the faintest idea of what this entails. Can anyone please give me a rough estimate of what it would cost . I would like some rough idea.
Welcome to the forum
Sorry only a guess but whatever shop did a rating evaluation of that Mazda> So you would likely need to know the source and contact them to ask what the number mean? However common sense the higher the number the more the concern? My Guess?

Hi sorry I don’t understand what I’m doing really . The car if being sold privately and I would to get this repaired but before buying. The seller says he has no idea what it would cost. I’m probably wrong but it sounds like brakes.

That is a very sketchy 'report' it doesn't say anything is actually in need of replacement it is just commenting on some corrosion noted on various components. Corrosion is going on under almost every single vehicle on the road. You sound a little lost, no offense, probably need someone to look at any vehicle you might be thinking of buying
The OP was obviously very concerned these items would require immediate work and they probably don't require anything at all.
Well, the report cited really is all about corrosion noticed, but then completely downplayed it. Don't know why they even mentioned it....filling in spaces on an empty/blank report?

We use something similar when a customer aske for a vehicle 150 point inspection.. The only difference is we include a narrative.
Honestly a couple things.... the OP has not returned to perhaps give us information who did this evaluation and if it was more comprehensive, and 2 we still without knowing from the source what there meaning of the numbers are. So "GUESSING!!!
I might add a third more or less directed to you...... that you obviously are not in any way in the automotive service or sales industry in any capacity because your assuming things points to support that!

The report did no such thing. The numbering system is base on 0-5. It was only for the purpose of what they determined a overall condition of some specific area of the inspection was intended for.

First there is no "HATE" on my part whatso ever. I more than often either smile or laugh (in your case) with some of the things members will post.
Really the mere posting use of word HATE describing a individual is saying so much about you. Wow! Not the best thing to do these days. But on a keyboard its easy to get away with. Only on a key board LOL
Dude really your responses for the most part not only show poorly thought out but in more then one response your are totally wrong!
And your next response is to defend it with calling me childish. Really! rolmao. You are more then entertaining on this forum and not even a DIY with experience in ties a shoe that anyone should consider worth its value or consideration. This thread and what you said is one of many proof to this.
67 years old and it shows with you!
Now that is my opinion and based on your style lack of any automotive service training and very little DIY experience or any formal education or training in the automotive industry. If I am wrong about the education ok please correct me but also try to get whatever money you paid for that education refunded to you.
lol Then you insult the forum itself.... ok well there are dozens more forum and I hate to tell you they wouldn't put up with your responses for long either.
