There was a recall for that in 05 for 2002-2005 models. The accelerator cable had to be replaced because it was not returning to idle. Might be worth checking out.

Bit of a tough one to diagnose without freeze frame data. When the check engine light came on the PCM recorded the event. This is freeze frame data. It tells the speed/rpm/ECT degrees/etc/etc/etc....

Sometimes they just lose memory programming if the battery is disconnected for extended periods of time. More than likely you will have to wrecker it to a dealer and have new keys cut and programmed.
